Sam D. Hart, Jr., Attorney At Law

Welcome

Welcome to the web site of Sam D. Hart, Jr., Attorney at Law. I provide quality legal representation in a variety of areas to individuals and businesses in West Central and Southwest Georgia, including such counties as Chattahoochee, Dougherty, Harris, and Lee. I have been serving clients as an attorney since 1988 and am pleased to offer services in such areas as bankruptcy, including Chapter 11, real estate law, civil trial practice, contracts, simple wills and trusts, personal injury, workers' compensation and other legal services. Regardless of why you choose to retain me, I offer high caliber services based on reasonable fees and costs, communication, and experience.

One of my goals is to offer prompt, courteous and cost-efficient legal services to each client. My clients have complete control over how much they will pay in attorney fees. I can provide reliable legal consultation and advice related to many traditional areas of law with affordable and flexible fee rates and structures. Fee terms are always negotiable and flexible with my clients. My attorney fees can be structured or tailored depending upon the particular circumstances and type and complexity of each case. Possible fee terms include:

  • A percentage of the total amount recovered with final payment contingent upon the outcome of case
  • A fixed amount flat rate fee paid in advance or monthly
  • An hourly rate paid with non-refundable retainer plus minimum monthly progress payments

All legal costs and expenses normally connected with the typical legal case or lawsuit, such as investigative fees, court filing fees, postage, copies, long distance calls, travel costs, subpoena fees, expert witness fees, lay witness fees, court reporter fees, transcript fees, and certified record fees, are the responsibility of the client. Because the client is required to pay all legal costs of the case, I make every effort to keep these costs in check. Legal costs need to be paid by the client when asked by the attorney, or else the case cannot proceed. For various legal and financial reasons, my law firm cannot advance any of these legal costs or make any loans to the client.

I have filed and/or litigated over four hundred and fifty (450) Chapter 7 & Chapter 13 consumer bankruptcy cases. In addition to providing quality representation to individual clients, I work with small businesses who are involved in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. My experiences have given me the opportunity to develop my commercial law and civil trial practice in such areas as real estate, contracts, workers' compensation, collections, and a range of other areas. While my list of commercial clients has grown since 1988, I continue to represent individuals who need a quality attorney they can trust. Clients turn to me when they need to draft simple wills and trusts, have been injured, feel they are the victims of unfair trade practices, or face other legal issues. Often clients return because they appreciate the quality of my work and my approach to their individual needs.

Maintaining effective communications with my clients is always a number one priority in my practice. I communicate often with my clients to ensure that they are aware of the status and progress of their case. I try to return all client phone calls within a reasonable time to keep my clients informed and to help my clients with new questions or problems. I also take the time to explain their options so they maintain control over their legal issue. Client satisfaction and successful results are always my primary concern with every case that I accept. I believe that the best service I can provide to my client is to respond to my client's questions and concerns as quickly as possible. I am dedicated to providing the best possible legal services, advice and counseling to all of my clients. I strive to achieve the best results possible for my clients in any given situation. My client's best interests always come first.

Please call, write or send an email to me if you need any additional information about attorney fees or legal costs. Upon request, I can send you a sample of my attorney fee agreement for your inspection.
